The Nobel Peace Prize 2020 was awarded to World Food Programme

The Nobel Peace Prize 2020 was awarded to the World Food Programme (WFP) “for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict.”
The World Food Programme is the world’s leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide and promoting food security. In 2019, the organization assisted nearly 100 million people in 88 countries, that were suffering from food insecurity and hunger.
TIARCENTER congratulates the World Food Programme on the high award and hopes that this will draw attention to the problem of hunger, food loss and waste all around the world.
